Model Elsa Hosk has unloaded an apartment in Tribeca, pocketing over $1 million in the process. The Victoria’s Secret angel sold the property for $1.19 million, after listing it in March of this year. Hosk purchased the residence in 2011 for $535K; it had been listed by the model with an asking price of $1.1 million prior to the recent sale.
A one bedroom with one bath, the apartment spans roughly 750 square feet. It is situated on the top floor of a five story residential building on Franklin Street. The listing calls it a ‘penthouse,’ which seems a little too figurative even for the real estate market, but the apartment is quite comfortable, featuring a wood-burning fireplace in the living room, sliding partition doors, and a pair of skylights offering a smattering of suggested expanse. 12’ ceilings also help the apartment along toward spaciousness, but it’s clearly a case of location, location, location that brought the sale price to well over a million.
The kitchen of the unit is perfect for it; Scandinavian-influenced, with hardwood cabinetry giving the room some texture, as well as a sense of order.
Hosk had the apartment renovated during her tenure, whitewashing the exposed brick to liberate it somewhat, and giving it a bit more in the way of cohesion. The fireplace mantel was added for a sense of history; Hosk also covered the original hardwood floors, providing the place with a white foundation, and an altogether white presentation. It gained the illusion of additional space, but lost much of its character along the way.
Elsa Hosk was, at one time, a professional basketball player in her home country of Sweden. She has since appeared in campaigns for Dolce & Gabbana and Dior; she joined Victoria’s Secret in 2011.
