A little less than two years after purchasing a home in Beverly Hills, NBA sharpshooter Kris Humphries had sold the property for $8.25 million. Humphries had purchased the house in July of 2015, for $6.2 million. That’s quite a handsome return for the Hawks power forward.
The mid-century single-story dates to 1961, and features retractable glass walls which open broadly to a large deck with lovely views of downtown Los Angeles; the hillside location affords a nice survey of the city in the distance. The style is modern, the interiors open-concept, with three bedrooms and four baths throughout its 3,336 square feet.
From the foyer, the layout progression begins with a good-sized living room, and moves toward a bright, open kitchen crowned with a skylight and a dining room; an accent wall with a double-sided fireplace acts as a border between living and dining spaces. The kitchen, meanwhile, opens onto the property via a glass-paneled single door.
The master suite features a fireplace which, like the fireplace in the living area, is very much of the era. The master bath is large for the square footage, incorporating a skylight for a little more light and suggested space. Both open onto the property as well.
The property exterior features a freeform pool with spa, and patio with built-in barbeque.
Currently with the Atlanta Hawks, Humphries’ career has taken him all over the geography of the NBA. He was drafted by the Jazz in 2004, beginning a career which is still going strong.
