Piaggio has just unveiled an impressive new plane, the P.180 Avanti Evo Twin Turboprop.
The Italian brand’s new creation was recently brought to John Wayne Airport in Orange County, California, and it’s been garnering plenty of attention ever since.
Built with an emphasis on aerodynamic performance, the airplane boasts a three-lifting-surface configuration. This puts the main wing closer to the back of the fuselage, in addition to other unique design elements, like a smaller wing on the nose that helps the plane channel air.
The design advantages give the Evo cruising speeds of up to 463 mph for a range of more than 1,900 miles.
The Evo plane is Piaggio’s third generation of the P.180 Twin Turboprop, and the company’s extensive design experience is on display in its latest model. The new aircraft is more fuel-efficient and quieter than previous Piaggo craft, too.
Added safety and security features, in addition to five-blade scimitar propellers, guarantee a pleasant ride. Inside, customized interior ensures that up to eight passengers travel in high style.
