Camera maker Leica has just introduced its new M 246 Jim Marshall Edition Camera.
The limited-edition camera honors famed music-world photographer Jim Marshall with a Monochrom Typ 246 camera and a Summilux-M 50 mm f/1.4 lens. Each of the numbered devices is accented with matte brass components complete with a special “Laiton” coating.
A brown leather strap similar to the one Marshall donned, a copy of Jim Marshall: Jazz festival, and an archival print of “Thelonious Monk at Monterey Jazz Festival 1964” are also included with the purchase of the special camera.
The M 246 Jim Marshall Edition Camera is available for $13,000. Limited to just 50 examples, sets will only be available at North American Leica stores.
