Hasselblad has been pushing the boundaries of photography since 1941, and its new A6D-100C 100-megapixel medium format camera continues this tradition by taking its excellence to the skies.

The Swedish camera maker has specially designed the A6D-100c for drone photography, offering the camera in a smaller package and enhancing its capabilities to offer better aerial pictures.

One of the coolest new features of the A6D-100C is its syncability. Hasselblad has created a pathway for up to eight of the cameras to be synced together via a dedicated cable that ensures the user won’t have any issues with unsynced exposures. This results in the quality of an 800-MP photo.

The A6D-100c is compatible with all nine of Hasselblad’s H-System aerial lenses, which offer focal lengths that range from 24mm to 300mm. The camera is also available in both Infra-Red and non-IR versions.

There is no announced release date for the new Hasselblad camera, but it will likely be released later this year. Pricing hasn’t been revealed by the company, but the H6D-100C is currently available in the low $30,000’s.
