Enthoven Design Associates’ new “Opera” camper is an artistic take on a traditional two-person camper. It offers all of the amenities of a small home, and boasts a top inspired by the shape of the famed Sydney Opera House.
Inside the Opera camper is a pair of electrically adjustable beds, a boiler that supplies warm water to the shower and kitchen, heating, an actual ceramic toilet, low-energy LED lighting, and a refrigerator.
The Netherlands-based brand first crafted the Opera camper trailer in 2008 in order to provide travelers with the opportunity to combine the activity of camping with a sense of style and architectural magnificence. They succeeded. The camper is entirely unique, and thoughtfully designed.
The Opera camper is on a towable base with the pop-up top stowing away nicely when the camper is being transported. The Opera takes shape in only a few minutes, with the camper trailer unfolding to reveal the peaks of the Sydney Opera House attached to a firm floor and base.
Enthoven has designed the camper trailer with an extra-wide track that sits on a double axle with hydraulic shocks. When completely stowed away, the height of the Opera camper trailer doesn’t obtrude the sight of the driver, even if the owner is towing the trailer with a sedan.
