Designer and restoration pro Brenda Antin just listed her West Hollywood cottage for $2.699 million.
Antin is known for tastefully restoring and renovating George Peppard’s one-time Hollywood home, so it should come as no surprise that her newest project is just as impressive. This time, Antin’s focus was on a 1940s mid-century-style home with tall privacy hedges and beautiful fountains.
The interior features two bedrooms and 1.75 bathrooms, and an intimate floor plan with classic masonry walls, beamed ceilings, and practical built-ins.
Quaintly compact at just 1,500 square feet, the house now has an intensely intimate feel. The living room features cottage-style ceilings and a wood-burning fireplace. The galley-style kitchen is close quarters, but there’s a good amount of marble countertop space, and, as in the rest of the home, it’s well executed, making the most of the available space.
Skylights, picture windows, and eight-foot-high glass doors add an air of luxury to the renovated home, and lend it a more expansive feel. The brick patio is charming and private.
It’s not a large house, but it’s very well composed.
