Armin Strom unveiled its Strom Mirrored Force Resonance watch in November to acclaim; the rose gold premier version raised eyebrows, but was priced accordingly.
Now the timepiece is available in a stainless steel case. The more affordable watch option is just as impressive as the first iteration thanks to its attention to resonance.
Resonance, in watchmaking, relates to two oscillators beating in close proximity, which results in a stronger beat rate. Of course, this type of engineering is complex and difficult to achieve, so the Armin timepiece joins an elite group of watchmakers in pulling off the feat successfully.
The stainless steel version of the piece is known as the Mirrored Force Resonance Water. The dimensions and design remain the same, with the timepiece measuring in at 43.4 mm wide and about 13 mm thick.
Of course, to match the stainless steel, the dial is now white with blue numerals, which continues the “water” theme. Limited to just 50 pieces, the Armin Strom Mirrored Force Resonance Water is available for $55,430.10.
