Retired Angels outfielder Garret Anderson has relisted his house in Irvine, with a small discount. Anderson had listed the property last August, looking for a little less than $11 million, and put the home back up for sale this week with a $10.695 asking price.

The house is a Mediterranean-style design with an emphasis on Spanish elements. The exterior is rendered in brick, with a semicircular tile roof, and exposed beams. It dates to 2009, and adheres to the style, right down to the turreted Mediterranean entrance, broad arches, rambling design, wrought iron accents, and a pair of courtyards with tiled fountains.

Inside, the home is warm and bright, with traditional tiled floors, exposed beams, and stucco molded into soft, fluid lines. Fireplaces and period-style lighting help achieve the effect. Tiled level risers, open-trussed ceilings, and a hacienda kitchen follow the trend. The look is as authentic as possible, and nicely executed.

The house is substantial, with interior living space measuring about 9,500 square feet; there are six bedrooms and 8.5 baths throughout, including the master suite with his and hers baths and private patio with spa, and the guest suite with private kitchen.

A library, a billiards room, a home fitness center and a home cinema are all incorporated into the design. The outside living spaces are as expansive, and contain a pool, outdoor living and dining area, an outdoor shower, a sports court, and a six-bay garage complex.

Southpaw Anderson spent the bulk of his professional career with the Angels. In that time, he set numerous Angels franchise records, including 2,013 games played, and 2,368 hits.
