Giancarlo Stanton has picked up a new residential gem in Miami’s Aria on the Bay. When ready, the penthouse triplex apartment will be considerable, with interior spaces measuring a little less than 5,000 square feet, and five bedrooms and 7.5 baths throughout.

Overlooking Biscayne, Aria on the Bay is currently under construction. The new luxury building in Edgewater is nearing completion. It will be finished early next year, and most residences have already been sold. The building’s amenities include a library, fitness center, yoga studio, and theater.

What will be waiting for Stanton, when the dust settles, is an apartment with a terrific sense of scale. The living spaces are highlighted by marble columns, curving glass walls, and an almost mathematical aesthetic offset by the fluid outer lines of the building. Tones are understated grey, beige or brown, and metallic surfaces help give the conceptualized spaces a lilting, ethereal atmosphere.

The building’s design emphasizes outdoor living, and penthouse terraces may add a great deal of square footage to the total living area. Stanton’s unit features a terrace overlooking the bay, with an outdoor kitchen and expansive lounging areas, as well as a hardwood space with a lap pool.

In 2015, Stanton signed a 13-year, $325 million contract with the Marlins.
