A few months ago Aston Martin teased the Tom Brady connection in a strategic bit of web advertising. Well, it seems New England quarterback Brady will actually be designing his own Aston Martin. Soon fans of the gifted athlete will be able to own a very Brady version of the Aston Martin Vanquish S.

The NFL superstar and the luxury automaker have initiated a long-term collaboration that will be known as Category of One. Set to debut later this year, Brady will take a hands-on role in the design of the special edition Aston Martin sports car.

“Tom is an inspirational leader and athlete who is clearly aligned with our view of Aston Martin,” said Aston Martin’s VP & Chief Creative Officer Marek Reichman. “His performances on the football field—not just recently but throughout his career—are an inspiration for us all.”

Since Brady already regularly drives a 2017 Aston Martin DB11, the collaboration is the perfect move the quarterback and Aston Martin. Will it give Aston a far stronger foothold in the American market, though? Time will tell.
