Joan Collins has listed her condo in West Hollywood for sale. The legendary actress listed the property in the Sierra Towers for $4.5 million; she purchased the unit in 2007 for $2.7 million.

The condo is a fairly traditional rendering, with marble tile floors, glass walls, and a dramatic tonal scheme. Hard surfaces are many; the texture of the marble tile is visually appealing, but the warmth of some lighter-toned hardwood in the master bedroom relieves all the coolness with some much-needed warmth.

The kitchen follows through with the chilly-ish composition of the rest of the common living area, and takes a staid black-and-white opposition in its execution, including the familiar black-accented white tile floors.

The master suite is the gem of the property. To contrast the warmth of the floors, the room is paper in textured blue. Glass walls allow a good survey of the more local hills from the corner placement, and sliding doors allow access to the master balcony. The master bath features a great deal of slab marble, a large soaking tub, and mirrors a-plenty.

There is another balcony off the living room, as well, giving the apartment good flow. The place needs a little dust-up, as it’s a trifle on the grand side, but there’s lots to work with.

Collins’ first big roles arrived in the 1950’s, and she worked steadily through the 1960’s. The second phase of her career came by way of the 1980’s primetime soap-opera potboiler ‘Dynasty.’ She has since turned her talents to stage and page; ‘One Night with Joan’ and other theatrical productions, and a string of novels and works of nonfiction.
