Is your loft apartment decor missing something? Does the lobby of your corporate legal firm need that extra bite of credibility? Then you may want to consider ownership of a 12′ high, 38′ long Tyrannosaurus Rex skeleton. And we happen to know where you can get your hands on one.
Be it the terrifying behemoth from the “Jurassic Park” franchise of films, or the lurching fossilized skeleton that haunts display floors in museums, the T-Rex lends an irrefutable authority to any space. Theropoda Expeditions’ specimen TE-036, nicknamed Roosevelt, is a composite example recovered from three different dig sites across Montana and Wyoming. But it certainly carries the weight, and teeth, of historicity. It was composed using the same method as the T-Rex that was found near Fort Peck Lake in the fossil-rich region of Garfield County, Montana.
Even though the collection of fossils was found at different sites, all three of the digs took place in a similar mix of clay and mudstone, so the fossils found are very similar. The overall size of all of the found T-Rex skeleton parts was carefully considered as the piece came together.
The fossils recovered show off a natural brown patina finish, and date back to 65.5 to 72 million years ago. This finish is due to the iron-rich geological formation the fossils slept in.
Roosevelt is a 45-percent complete skeleton, with the rest being made of a high-quality composite material that mimics the missing bones. The purchase includes maps, documentation, and notes from the excavations.
A unique opportunity at $2,390,000.
