Country music star Alan Jackson is looking to offload his majestic home in Clarkesville, Georgia. The house, situated on 1.2 acres on Lake Burton, is being offered at $6.4 million.
The massive home boasts an open floor plan, but keeps things cozy by incorporating varying wood finishes, slate, and fieldstone into the design. Indoor/outdoor living is enhanced by a lakeside screened porch complete with its own fireplace.
Measuring in at 7,687 square feet, the main house features five bedrooms and nine bathrooms and a somewhat ironic cottage-chic style. There is also a two-story boathouse with a rooftop deck to take in the surrounding lake and mountain views.
Jackson is a Georgia native. He took Country music by storm when he blended the then-contemporary style with a more classic honky tonk sound. He’s had 35 chart topping singles on the Billboard Hot Country Singles and Tracks list. In addition, he has won a pair of Grammy awards, 17 Academy of Country Music Awards, and 16 Country Music Awards throughout his career. Later this year, Jackson will be inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame.
