Just because a jewelry box holds beautiful items doesn’t mean the box itself shouldn’t be pretty too.
Mouawad‘s got the right idea. Their new Flower of Eternity Jewellery Coffer shines just as brightly as the gems and diamonds it holds.
The $3.5-million coffer has officially been given the title of Guinness World Record’s most expensive jewelry box. This isn’t the first record for the Geneva- and Dubai-based luxury brand, though. House of Mouawad also holds the Guinness World Record for the priciest single pear-shaped diamond.
The embellished box features an incredible combination of 925 silver and 18-karat gold, in addition to 542.39 carats of white and yellow diamonds, 1,799.75 carats of lapis lazuli, 293.24 carats of white and pink sapphires, and 20.06 carats of rubies.
The Mouawad Flower of Eternity box is meant to be displayed with three heart-shaped petals on the lid, representing the brand’s motif.
