Cartier has teamed up with online retail company Net-a-Porter to offer a new women’s timepiece that will be available online before it ever hits display cases in the French brand’s storefronts.
The new Cartier Panthère is a revived model that the company offered from 1983 through the early 2000s. The new version of the Panthère is available in 22mm and 27mm case size options. The diamond-set bezel versions already sold out online and, as the timepieces will be offered on Net-a-Porter until May 31, it seems unlikely that the entire Panthère won’t sell out quickly.
The watch face boasts a silvered dial with blued steel sword-shaped minute and hour hands. Both sizes are equipped with a steel bracelet, and powered by a quartz movement.
This is the fourth Richemont-owned watchmaking partner to feature on Net-a-Porter, with IWC and Piaget currently offered through the site. With the success of this Cartier Panthère model, we can expect to see other exclusive timepieces offered on the site in the future.
