Former NFL linebacker Nick Barnett has offloaded his traditional-style home in Carlsbad, California, for $2.2 million. Barnett purchased the 2001-built house three years ago, for $1.9 million.

Barnett had the two-story home remodeled during his tenure as owner, adding distressed wide-plank wood flooring, modern fixtures, a polished concrete center island in the chef’s kitchen, and a glass-enclosed shower and claw-foot tub in the master bath.

The 6,053-square-foot home holds six bedrooms and six bathrooms, formal dining and living rooms, and a wood paneled office.

The property comprises a half acre of grounds with a patio, a gazebo, and a swimming pool with spa. The hilltop location offers sweeping views of the nearby La Costa Golf Course which extend all the way to the Pacific Ocean.

After a four-year collegiate career at Oregon State, Barnett played in the NFL for 11 years. The Fontana, California-native spent his first eight years in the NFL with the Green Bay Packers, winning Super Bowl XLV with the team in 2011, before rounding out his career with the Buffalo Bills and Washington Redskins.
