Swedish audio house Urbanears has released a new range of wireless speakers that mimic its best-selling headphones in both the design aesthetic and the quality of sound produced.
The new Urbanears Connected Speakers come in two sizes, Stammen and Baggen, both named after neighborhoods of Stockholm. The speakers come wrapped in an acoustically transparent fabric in a wide range of colors.
Whether its Concrete Grey, Dirty Pink, Goldfish Orange, Indigo Blue, Plant Green, or Vinyl Black, there is a Urbanears Connected Speaker to visually fit any room. And, thanks to the two different sizes, there’s one designed to fill larger or smaller spaces.
The smaller Stammen is made to fit in bedrooms or studio apartments, measuring a little over 8 inches wide and 8 inches tall. The Baggen is the top of the line, measuring in at just under a foot across and a foot high, making it perfect for larger living rooms, patios, and other open spaces.
The Connected Speakers boast Wi-Fi technology to offer continuous, seamless streaming. Owners can play through Bluetooth, Spotify Connect, Airplay, or Chromecast.
Users can also connect two or more of the Urbanears Connected Speakers, to create a multi-room system. That’s ideal for entertaining, or for larger offices.
The smaller Stammen sells for a little more than $380, with the larger Baggen fetching $510.
