Former Cal men’s basketball coach Cuonzo Martin has officially ended his stay in the Golden State after offloading his home in Piedmont for $3 million, a whopping $505,000 more than he was seeking for the property.

Martin picked up the Mediterranean-style California house three years ago for $2.5 million. The abode was built in 1954 on a quarter-acre lot and has since been updated. It boasts views of the San Francisco Bay and the city from its hillside location.

Measuring in at 4,100 square feet, the home features four bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, a game room, a well-appointed center-island kitchen, and an elevator. Outside there is a cozy back patio with a fireplace, artfully tiered landscaping, and attached two-car garage.

Martin was 62-39 during his three seasons in charge of the Golden Bears, taking Cal to the NCAA Tournament once during his tenure with the Berkley-based school. He left Cal in March in order to take over as the University of Missouri head basketball coach, where he signed a seven-year, $21-million contract.
