The Los Angeles estate owned by husband-and-wife screenwriting duo Willard Huyck and Gloria Katz has landed back on the market, this time with an asking price of $14.75 million.
Last year the couple tried to offload the 1.5-acre property known as Los Vientos for $15.95 million, without success. They have owned the property since the late 1990s.
The multi-winged mansion measures in at 5,200 square feet, and boasts a Spanish hacienda-style aesthetic. The home was designed in the late 1930s by famed California architects Cliff May and Wallace Frost, for Westclox heir Frederic M. Blow.
The five-bedroom, 4.5-bathroom house sits at the end of a long, gated driveway, and boasts features such as terra-cotta tile flooring, vaulted exposed wood ceilings, and canyon and city views from the grounds. The house includes formal dining and living rooms, a massive kitchen, and a lounge with a bar that opens up to an exterior patio with sweeping views. Outside, there is a swimming pool and a paddle tennis court.
Huyck and Katz are responsible for iconic films such as “American Graffiti,” “Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom,” and the ironically iconic “Howard the Duck.”
