HYT is back with a new range of its H0 collection of liquid-filled tube watches. The recently revealed models include the H0 Black, H0 Orange, and H0 Silver.
The new H0 (H + zero) takes inspiration from the shape of a water droplet and features what HYT calls a “pebble” style case design. This pebble design boasts a crystal that wraps around the side of the watch in lieu of a bezel and case edge.
Unlike a classic mechanical movement, it would take a scientist to understand what is going on inside of the watch to keep time. Essentially, the H0 blends a manual-wind movement and a pair of bellows (alloy reserves); each bellows holds a liquid designed at the molecular level to offer a repulsion force with the other. A piston in the movement compresses one bellow while depressing the other in order to create the hours indicator. Definitely a conversation-starter for watch fanatics, or just the curious.
The HYT Calibre boasts the 35-jewel Côtes de Genève, which beats at 28,800VpH.
The new H0 collection timepieces are fitted with rubber straps (waterproof), and all three versions are priced at $39,000.
