Sharon and Woody Jackson have put their home in Los Angeles up for sale. The talent agent and composer are asking $2.9 million for the property, which they purchased in the early 2000’s for a little under $1 million.
The little modern-influenced house dates to the 1940’s, and measures a little over 2,500 square feet. It contains three bedrooms and four baths.
Square footage may be somewhat limited, but the home makes a nice impression. Recently remodeled, it features wide-plank pale hardwood floors and is whitewashed throughout. Light fixtures are white as well, and the home has the resulting appeal of a blank canvas waiting for a new vision.
The kitchen, a long room that moves toward deck access from a sliding glass door, is bright and open, and features a black-accented subway tile stove backsplash, and a deco-inspired vent hood. Marble countertops, and a linear kitchen island with a trio of white pendants overhead add to the texture of the room.
The master bedroom is compact but bright, and oversized corner glass and a sliding door to the deck bring in light and air; the master bath has been renovated in slab marble, and a lot of it: floor, shower stall, double sinks.
The exterior of the house features a small freeform pool with a brick patio, and a spacious deck. A detached, self-sufficient guest house adds another pair of bedrooms and baths, and adds nearly 1,400 square feet to the property’s interior living space.
Woody Jackson is a composer and music editor whose work includes T.V. series ‘Nashville’, as well as many short films and video games. Sharon Jackson is a partner at William Morris Endeavor; her clients include Amy Poehler and Natasha Lyonne.
