Kate Walsh is offering a property in Encino for rent. The ‘Gray’s Anatomy’ star is looking for a tenant with $17.5K/monthly to take the lease; she picked up the property in 2013 for $2.7 million.

The home dates to 1950, and is a ranch design, with a covered central entry, and a rambling design. It measures a little more than 4,300 square feet, and contains three bedrooms and 3.5 baths. The property incorporates a small, self-contained and detached guesthouse.

The main residence is a little dated, but nicely renovated. The living room a vaulted ceiling with exposed beams and recessed lighting, wide-plank flooring, and a multi-pane picture window; the fireplace surround is overwhelmingly formal, but carried off by the relaxed feel of the rest of the room. The family/media room incorporates built-ins and a nice contrasting floor/ceiling effect, and the dining room features a retractable wall of glass doors that open onto the outdoor lounge area.

The country-cottage kitchen, with its blue cabinetry and lack of formality, and the master suite—which features a lovely sense of flow from bedroom to sitting room to bathroom, and opens broadly onto the property exterior—are the highlights of the house. The property exterior offers tenants tennis, a brick-accented pool, and a large outdoor lounge area amidst the trees and shrubs.

Kate Walsh negotiated her ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ character into ‘Private Practice’. She is currently at work on ‘Felt’, a biopic about FBI agent Mark Felt, who tipped off Woodward and Bernstein about nefarious goings-on in early 1970’s Washington.
