Hublot has just revealed its latest watch, the MP-09 Tourbillon Bi-Axis, at Baselworld 2017. And the timepiece has raised a few eyebrows in the watchmaking universe.

The timepiece is the Swiss brand’s newest addition to its Manufacture Piece (MP) collection, but is very unique: it boasts a three-sided sapphire crystal case that allows for the best possible visibility into the movement ticking away within.

Measuring in at 49mm, the case comes in either titanium or King Gold, and is paired with a black rubber strap and matching deployant clasp.

Powering the MP-09 Tourbillon Bi-Axis is Hublot’s HUB9009.H1.RA. This stunning self-winding movement features a five-day power reserve.

Hublot will make only 50 titanium examples and 20 King Gold examples of the MP-O9 Tourbillon Bi-Axis, including a titanium pavé finished example. The titanium example starts the pricing off at $169,000, while the titanium pavé seeks $190,000, and the King Gold version comes in at $211,000.
