Snowboarding fans who don’t live in perpetually snowy locales don’t have the luxury of snowboarding year round, like those lucky few who live in places like Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, in the French Alps.
Enter the LEIF Technologies eSnowboard, a six-wheeled, hand-remote controlled pavement carving snowboard that allows riders to enjoy yearlong thrills.
The LEIF eSnowboard has the ability to reach up to 23 mph and boasts a 10-mile range. The lithium-ion batteries powering the eSnowboard only take about an hour to fully charge.
However, it’s not an electric skateboard. The LEIF eSnowboard offers its rider the real-life feel of a snowboard sliding down a mountainside thanks to the unique mechanics utilized in making the board, and the two smaller wheels located under the main deck, which simulate the specifics.
Thanks to LEIF the last run of the year at one’s local mountain doesn’t have to end the fun of riding a snowboard. It costs from $1,649 to $1,729, depending on the size of the model chosen.
