Retired MLB player Brad Fullmer has listed his Los Angeles condo for sale. The first baseman is asking $1.595 million for the Brentwood property, which he acquired in 2013 for about $1.2 million.

The two-story condo measures a little less than 2,850 square feet, and contains three bedrooms and four baths. The building is recent, and abuts a nature preserve, one of the key selling points of the property.

The condo’s layout includes space for two to four bedrooms: an upper-level master suite and accompanying bedroom or office, and suite on ground level, as well as a family room with French door access to the patio, which could be used as a guest bedroom.

Wide-plank hardwood floors, stilted arches and supporting columns mark the interior of the property. The common areas are open-concept, and incorporate recessed ceilings and lighting, an ornamental fireplace. The chandelier in the dining room, designed to emulate candlelight, is nicely atmospheric.

It’s a bright apartment, and quite warm; tones are off-white or muted, but the floors provide much of the overt mood, and the arches and columns lend visual interest, and a bit of narrative flow. The kitchen and bathrooms are nicely laid out; the kitchen is especially cozy and comfortable.

The property exterior does include a little lounge space, and incorporates raised planters. The land behind the building suggests a sylvan glade, not a downtown location.

Brad Fullmer played with the Expos, the Blue Jays, the Angels and the Rangers during his professional career; in his time with the Angels, he contributed to the team’s World Series championship.
