Singer Nick Carter has sold a home in Hidden Hills. The entertainer—who is most closely associated with the Backstreet Boys—accepted $4.075 million for the property. He purchased it in 2015 for about $3.7 million.
The mid-century traditional was constructed in 1956, and features wrap around balconies, a gabled roof, and many sets of French and sliding glass doors for nice interior/exterior flow. It measures about 5,500 square feet, and contains five bedrooms and 6.5 baths.
Much of the home is modern country-cottage style, with vaulted ceilings, wide-plank hardwood, staircase with wood balustrade, handrail, and second-floor gallery, a bit of shiplap, and recessed lighting throughout. The kitchen is nicely executed, with tasteful marble countertops, tile counter backsplash, and brushed stainless.
The master suite features a good-sized walk-in closet, a bath in muted warm tones, marble and tile, and private balcony. The master bedroom features a recessed ceiling and views of the surrounding countryside and Valley.
Stacked stone supports and chimney add a little overt rustic influence to the exterior, which features a good mix of window shapes for visual interest, and a generally asymmetrical design. The property measures about an acre, and contains a freeform pool/spa and slate patio, a bit of meandering lawn, and chickens’ quarters.
Backstreet Boy Carter has released three solo albums, and appeared on various television programs.
With over 130 million records sold, the Backstreet Boys are the best-selling boy band ever, and one of the music industry’s best-selling artists. They currently appear in residency at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas.
