UFC Fighter-Turned-Analyst Kenny Florian Lists Hollywood Hills Home for $3.1M

UFC analyst and retired mixed martial-arts fighter Kenny Florian has listed a home in Hollywood Hills West. The Fox commentator and his wife, Clark Gilmer, are asking $3.1 million for the house, which they purchased in 2015 for $2.75 million from musician Chris Cester.

The house—the one time home of Claire Windsor—was constructed in the early 1920’s, and features neo-Tudor design elements. The stucco exterior is accented with black shutters and shingles, making for a fairly dramatic first impression. Seen from above, with the Hills in the background, the place has a bit of storybook atmosphere about it.

The interior design is marked by dark wood and whitewash; cathedral ceilings and a second-floor gallery in the great room set the tone for the house. It has a nice sense of history, but has been renovated well, although the dining room is a little bit stark, and the den, in slate grey, is somewhat gloomy.

The home measures a little over 4,000 square feet, and contains four bedrooms and four baths, including two master suites. One of the master suites—the primary master, maybe—contains the surprises of the house. Accessible via a wrought-iron spiral staircase, it incorporates a loft with ornamental windows, concept ceiling, terra-cotta tile terrace, and bath with tile-inlaid hardwood floors. The attic-like alcoves above the bedroom, hidden away from the rest of the house, give the suite a unique and charming sense of secrecy.

Kenny Florian retired from UFC competition at the age of thirty-five, on the advice of physicians. He has since provided commentary on fighting strategies and patterns for the Fox Network. Clark Gilmer is a model and actress.
