The L.U.C. collection from Chopard—inspired by the brand’s founding father, Louis-Ulysse Chopard—has an updated flagship model.
The Lunar One was first introduced in 2005, and this year’s edition gets a new dial design and a platinum case.
Chopard’s Lunar One offers a moon phase, calendar, and big date subdials at 3-, 6-, and 9-o’clock. Roman numerals are used, as well as a deep blue finish. On the back of the case, the Chopard L.U.C. logo is featured prominently in a gold sunray effect.
The platinum case is a slim 11.47mm thick; that’s especially appealing for those who might find the 43mm diameter a little too large.
Powering the L.U.C. Lunar One is Chopard’s in-house Calibre 96.13-L, which should require an adjustment only once every 122 years. The timepiece offers a 65-hour power reserve.
The L.U.C. Lunar One is priced at $67,900. Chopard will only produce 100 examples.
