Elric Prince—CEO and founder of Miami’s Poe Boy Music Group—has sold a home in Hialeah to Flo Rida, who is signed to the label. Prince had initially listed the property late last year, with an asking price of $1.6 million. The asking price had been reduced prior to the sale, to $1.35 million, and went under contract for a little over a million. Prince purchased the home in 2012, for $520K.

The home measures 7,200 square feet, and contains five bedrooms and five baths. The house’s design is sprawling and modern, largely free of ornament, and the landscaping of the grounds is very formal. The entire property has a foundation rendered in a white-on-grey geometric pattern, which brings an usual sense of self-consciousness to the overall design.

Inside, the home’s tones are neutral or warm—in the case of the master bedroom, very warm indeed—although the judicious use of ambient LED lighting provides a splash of cool blue here and there. The figures painted on the walls may seem familiar if you’ve ever seen Kubrick’s adaptation of a certain Anthony Burgess novel; they make one consider possibilities of prescience, homage, and unconscious expression of pop-cultural archetypes.

The property features two pools, and indoor and outdoor spas. The home is outfitted with a smart system, for touchpad control of climate, security, lighting, and entertainment.

Elric Prince started Poe Boy in 1999; the company has since been absorbed by Warner.

Flo Rida’s last studio release, 2010’s ‘Wild Ones,’ charted four singles in the top ten.
