With its well-known studio-grade microphones, Blue is already a leader in the audio field. Now, looking to combine techno-cred with their audiophile reputation, the brand has released its first pair of wireless headphones, called Satellite.
The respected brand ensures that only the highest of audio quality materials are used in its Satellite headphones, with an integrated 240mW class A/B amp, Bluetooth aptX capability and noise cancellation features sweetening the deal. A 1000mAh battery powers the unit.
The foldable over-ear headphones are already more effective than other noise-canceling units, thanks to each ear boasting two drivers, one for sound and one for noise cancellation; typically, in active noise-cancelling headphones, only one set of drivers is used, not two. Speaking of the drivers, the 44mm units are custom-tuned by Blue to offer audio fidelity significantly higher than the industry standard.
Blue has made Satellite rechargeable with a Micro USB, but it has yet to release estimates for what that expected battery life will be.
The Satellite headphones will be released sometime in 2017, and no pricing has been announced yet.
