Director Craig Zisk has sold his Hollywood Hills home of about a dozen years. Zisk transferred ownership for $2.655 million. He had been asking $2.775 million for the property.

Situated in the Outpost Estates neighborhood, the Spanish Colonial Revival dates to the late 1920’s. The house measures about 3,500 square feet, and contains five bedrooms and five baths. Period details including raw wood, wrought iron, low-pitched roof with semicircular tiles, lantern-style lighting and open-trussed ceilings combine with key updates to kitchen, baths, and doors and windows; not surprisingly, the home’s more recent owners have emphasized its historical appeal.

Inside, tones are understated, and the wood and whitewash are relied upon to express and highlight what the property has to offer: light, space, and a comfortable, sun-drenched familiarity. The kitchen and breakfast room are especially charming; the rustic tone is firmly rooted in the vaulted, open ceiling. There is no doubt where the home’s sensibilities reside. Windows are rectangular, and there is a noticeable lack of ornamental arches in the home.

The property exterior features a terra-cotta tiled terrace overlooking down the hill, and surveying the surrounding suburban landscape. A traditional tiled fountain, tiered landscaping, and an enclosed, vine-covered pergola and outside dining area fill out the very private outdoor living spaces.

Craig Zisk’s many television directing credits include episodes of ‘Nurse Jackie’ and ‘Shameless.’ He executive produced ‘Weeds’ and the sorely missed ‘The Larry Sanders Show.’
