Lisa Airplanes’ new AKOYA amphibious plane offers as an ultra-modern twist on small aircraft. The two-person plane has the ability to take off and land on water and snow, and also comes with folding wings to make it easily transportable.
The French aviation company has produced the only airplane in the world to feature hydrofoils, which it has patented as “seafoils,” allowing the AKOYA to quickly lift its fuselage out of the water. It also benefits from the increased stability this creates during take-off.
Lisa has also opened up a number of new destinations thanks to skis on the retractable landing gear.
The interior of the AKOYA plane is comfortable for its pilot and passengers as well, with adjustable seats that offer the relief needed during long voyages.
AKOYA has a cruising speed of 130MPH, and a range of about 1,000 miles. It is priced at about $330K.
