American tuner Hennessey Performance has revised its super powerful VelociRaptor, based on the new Ford F150 Raptor, which is already a souped-up version of the American brand’s iconic truck model.
Beginning with the second generation Raptor’s 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 engine, which produces 450 horsepower, Hennessey will be cranking out 500-, 600-, and 700-horsepower versions of the F150.
Hennessey gets the extra juice to Velocisize a Raptor by adding a high-flow air-induction setup, Stage 1 or Stage 2 Twin-Turbo upgrade, a larger intercooler, a remapped ECU, and a host of other changes depending on the horsepower desired.
Getting your hands on the 600-plus-hp VelociRaptor costs an extra $22,500 on top of the cost of the regular 500-hp version, with the 700-hp edition costing an additional $49,500.
Hennessey will also offer two off-road packages for the VelociRaptor. The first option features a new front and rear bumper, custom LED lights, a three-inch lift kit, and 20-inch Hennessey wheels with 35-inch Toyo off-road tires; that’s for an extra $12,950. The second option makes everything bigger, beefier and brighter, and adds $22,950 to the base.
The VelociRaptor will be limited to 100 examples overall.
