Allen Leech, best known for his role as Tom Branson, the driver-turned-husband-turned-widower and estate-manager on the hit Brit soap “Downton Abbey,” recently dropped $1.175 million for a modest home in the Studio City neighborhood of Los Angeles.

The 1956-built home sits on a little over half an acre of hillside land, and is situated behind trees and down a long, private driveway. It offers large windows and French doors that provide beautiful canyon views.

Measuring in around 1,200 square feet, the two-bedroom, 1.5-bathroom house boasts vaulted ceilings, wide-plank oak flooring, and an upgraded kitchen complete with Carrara marble.

There is also a detached two-car garage on the property, though Leech likely won’t be spending as much time there as his chauffeur-character did on “Downton Abbey.”

The 35-year-old actor is currently working on the Canadian television show “Bellevue.” The Irishman has also appeared on eight episodes of the HBO series “Rome” and had a trio of appearances on the Showtime series “The Tudors.”

On the silver screen, Leech appeared alongside Benedict Cumberbatch in the Academy Award-winning espionage film “The Imitation Game,” which took home the Oscar for Best Writing and Adapted Screenplay, and was a nominee in seven other Oscar categories.
