Oscar De La Hoya’s is now hanging his hat in Pasadena—at least occasionally. The boxing champ recently picked up a condo in the Montana Building for $2.65 million. The single-floor apartment hit the market last fall for $2.95 million; its last sale price was $2.75 million, when it changed owners in 2010.

The residence measures 4,150 square feet, and contains three bedrooms and 3.75 baths. The home’s terrace adds an additional 500 square feet of living space, and features plant beds, hardwood, and plentiful room for outdoor lounging.

The home’s interior features dark-toned hardwood and natural stone tile flooring, oversized windows, and is finished in beige. The foyer is pleasingly formal, with plentiful mid-toned wood and textured wallpaper, and an ornamental tray ceiling. Recessed lighting adds a bit of understatement, and high balcony walls offer privacy in the urban landscape.

The apartment contains a library, a business office, and an eat-in kitchen, and a wine cellar. The limestone living room fireplace is perhaps the centerpiece of the home’s interior.

The Montana’s amenities include wood-paneled elevators, library and lounge, first-floor atrium, fitness center, and twenty-eight residences across six floors.

Oscar De La Hoya’s professional career spanned sixteen years. Known as the Golden Boy, he won ten titles in six different weight classes, and represented the United States in the 1992 Olympics; he took home a gold medal. He founded Golden Boy Productions, a promotional firm, in 2002.
