Surely there are many writers who are fans of the popular “Game of Thrones” books and hit HBO television series. Well, for the fan who likes to scribble, Montegrappa is creating its own Game of Thrones series of writing utensils.

There are four editions of the Game of Throne pens: one to represent each of the four major houses in the story.

The first, the Baratheon edition, offers a charcoal black finish with a contrasting note of yellow gold. The characteristic stag’s head, and house words “Ours is the Fury,” are featured on the cap of the Baratheon pen. A fleur-de-lis pattern is also worked into the design.

Next on the list is the Lannister. Crafted in a deep red, the Montegrappa pen offers a clip with a lion’s head, and the house motto of “Hear Me Roar” in yellow gold. However, for fans of the series, it might have been more prudent to find somewhere to fit the phrase “A Lannister always pays their debts” amid the pen’s floral Tudor Rose accent pattern.

Of course, there is also the Stark Montegrappa, a silver-white pen boasting palladium trim, to evoke winter. The pocket clip is crafted in the shape of a direwolf, like the famed Stark sigil, and the house words of the Starks, “Winter is Coming,” are set into the runic symbol pattern.

The last Montegrappa Game of Thrones offering comes is the Targaryen pen. With a metallic filigree pattern set against a coal-black background, the model comes with the Targaryen dragon head on the clip, and bears the motto “Fire and Blood.”

All of the Game of Thrones examples will be offered in fountain, ballpoint, and rollerball options. Each will be presented in a themed double box case, with the outer box displaying the house logo.
