Crystal Cruises is a brand on the rise. The American cruise line has six fresh ships slated to hit European rivers for cruise lines over the next three years and three new 100,000-gross-ton cruise liners that boast privately-owned condos expected to hit the open seas by 2022.
Now the company has another ace in the hole with a new 27-day trip dubbed the Crystal AirCruise, which includes a visit to the world’s 10 Peninsula hotels on a private Boeing 777-200LR jet.
Starting off at the Peninsula New York on August 21, the Crystal AirCruise hits the Peninsula hotels in Chicago and then Los Angeles before heading to Tokyo for a few days. Next comes stops in three Chinese cities, Beijing, Shanghai, and Hong Kong, before going a little further south to visit the Philippines and Thailand. It all culminates with a four-day stay in Paris at Peninsula’s first European-based hotel.
Luxurious classes and day trips come at every turn of the Crystal AirCruise, including a sushi class in Japan, Tai Chi classes in Beijing, dinner at the Great Wall of China, and celebrating Thailand’s Loy Krathong festival of lights, to name a few.
Guests onboard Crystal’s private Boeing 777-200LR jet receive the same high-end service the Peninsula hotels are famous for. All of the 84 guests on the journey are given fully reclining seats that turn into 73.5-inch beds, in addition to Apple iPads that are pre-loaded with personal agendas, free Wi-Fi, USB ports and power outlets, a 24-inch interactive TV with on-demand offerings and a music library, and Bose noise-canceling headphones.
There is an onboard executive chef crafting the meals and a wine list of 300 vintages. Guests aren’t limited to enjoying these luxuries at their seats either, as there are dining tables, a stand-up bar, and a social congregating area.
Each ticket for this incredible journey costs $159,000.
