Ahead of a yet-to-be-revealed supercar, The Aston Martin-Red Bull collaboration presents two new special edition Vantage models. The Red Bull Racing Editions of the Vantage model are heavily influenced by the Red Bull Formula 1 racing team, and specially designed to appeal to Formula 1 fans.
Designed by the bespoke ‘Q’ arm of the company, the Red Bull V8 Vantage, and V12 Vantage S both feature the cosmetic changes expected of a special edition: carbon fiber splitter, diffuser, and grille; edition-themed blue finish with yellow and red accents, Alcantara. The Red Bull Racing emblem is worked into the leather-upholstered headrests, and the black interior is trimmed with red stitching; a carbon fiber dash, and red-rimmed controls, completes the singular cosmetic design profile.
Under the hood? Well, a Vantage is still a Vantage. The 4.7L V8 produces the same 430HP as the regular production V8, and the 6.0L V12 S the same 563HP. Top speed for the V8 is 190, while the V12 crests at a little over 200MPH. Launch to 60 time is 4.6 and 3.7 seconds, respectively.
The supercar in development through Red Bull Racing and Aston is being called the AM-RB 001, a $3 million 6.5L V12 electronic-engine-launched rocket which is scheduled to be revealed in 2019.
Red Bull Racing Edition V8 and V12 S Vantage models may be priced by contacting an Aston Martin dealer. Deliveries begin in the spring.
