Actor Jason Biggs recently listed this Tribeca loft in the Medium Lipstick building. Biggs purchased the co-op unit in 2013 for $2.55 million with his wife, actor and author Jenny Mollen. The duo is asking $3 million for the sale.

Medium Lipstick—288 West Street—is an eight-story building with sweeping views of the Hudson. Used as a spice warehouse in its in industrial heyday, the building was converted to residences; it currently holds fourteen units.

The building dates to the second half of the 19th century, and an initial look at the interior of the property bears out the history: exposed plumbing, rough-hewn original beams and supports, original narrow-plank hardwood floors, and exposed brick form the substantial atmosphere of a classic Village loft.

The apartment is currently in use as a three bedroom and two bath. It measures 2,200 square feet. The layout places the bedrooms on three corners of the loft, with the oversized master bedroom windows facing south; a nicely proportioned, bright space. The open living room and kitchen is spacious and cozy, and contains a wood-burning fireplace. Walls in mid-grey are a cool-tone contrast with the warmth of the exposed brick, raw pipes, and wood.  Lighting is recessed, track, or contemporary industrial. The master bath and kitchen have been updated, and brought more into line with generic contemporary tastes: stone, steam, and restaurant-grade appliances.

The building features a communal rooftop deck.

Jason Biggs’ most recent film appearance was the lead role in ‘Amateur Night,’ which saw a limited release last summer.

Jenny Mollen’s best-sellers—‘I Like You Just The Way I Am,’ and ‘Live Fast Die Hot’—were published by St. Martin’s Press in 2014 and 2016. She also starred in last year’s ‘Amateur Night.’
