Originally a company specializing exclusively in fine leather, Hermès has become a couture juggernaut, a brand name conjuring refinement, elegance, and taste in the world of high fashion, from scarves to footwear. To horology.
Hermès has indicated that it will add to its Cape Cod collection of watches at the upcoming Baselworld 2017 this March.
The Cape Cod timepiece was the brainchild of Henri d’Origny back in 1991, when he designed the unique Cape Cod dial, and now Hermès will take things a step further by crafting the dial in new shades including black, anthracite and black, and lacquered editions in red and brown.
Of course, as a fine leather good giant, Hermès has also made new traditional leather straps in a range of variations.
The four new versions of the Cape Cod line are housed in 33mm cases and are water resistant up to just under 100 feet.
Powering the new range of Cape Cod watches is the Hermès Manufacture H1912 movement.
