Zane Lowe’s new home is this 1908 Farmhouse-style, which the DJ and producer purchased for $4.95 million. The West Hollywood property had been listed at $5 million prior to the sale; it sold for $3.225 million when it last hit the market, in 2010.

Extensively renovated, the house retains its original hardwood and tile, and its hard angles are softened nicely by stilted arches. The home is entirely whitewashed, which is bright but stark; a blank canvas for the new owner to build upon.

The 4,300 square foot living space of the primary residence contains three bedrooms and three baths. There is a guest house on the property, for a total of four and four. The living room opens onto a deck and pergola through two sets of French doors, and there is a private second floor balcony accessible by another two sets. The master bedroom contains a dual-sided fireplace; there are two other fireplaces on the first floor, and another poolside.

The guest house is charmingly laid out. The first floor features an open concept, gracefully vaulted ceiling, and kitchen with tiled counter and classic, black-on-white checkered tile floor. The bedroom is bright and cozy, and a bulls-eye window adds a playful flair.

The grounds measure about half an acre, and contain a simple pool, gardens, and plenty of flora for privacy.

Auckland-born Zane Lowe is a DJ, music historian and producer. He has taken home numerous awards for his work, and he was nominated for a Grammy in 2015 for his writing and production on Sam Smith’s hit ‘In The Lonely Hour.’
