After about eight months on the market, elevision exec Chris Albrecht has sold his Brentwood home for $7.093 million, considerably under the initial listing price of $8.995 million. Albrecht purchased the home nearly twelve years ago for $5.6 million.
A Spanish eclectic style, the home was constructed in 2004; it contains six bedrooms and eight full or partial baths in its 7,021 square feet of living space. The interior is typically warm for a Spanish; it opens with a double-height foyer, staircase with wrought-iron balustrade, and wrought-iron chandelier. Plentiful rounded arches are a constant softening influence amid the whitewash, and there’s a great deal of warm wood, in plank flooring and exposed beams above. There are two first floor fireplaces, a very bright breakfast room off the kitchen, and several sets of French doors opening onto the compact terrace, and loggia in the rear of the design.
The hand-painted tiles in the master bath add a refreshing element of individuality, and compliment the relaxed feel of the Spanish style. The master bedroom features a set of French doors which open onto a balcony with wrought-iron balustrade, as well as a marble fireplace.
The home contains a wine cellar, gym, media room, and a very comfortable kitchen. The property exterior makes the best of the lot size, which is not quite half an acre; a no frills lap pool, and plenty of mature fauna for privacy round out the property.
Chris Albrecht is currently CEO and president of Starz. He spent over two decades at HBO, bringing the network into prominence as an original programming juggernaut, and setting the bar for original programming at other networks.
