Montblanc has diverted much of its focus for 2016 toward the more commercial editions of its TimeWalker collection, but that doesn’t mean the German company has completely stopped manufacturing meticulously crafted special examples, as seen with the new TimeWalker Rally Timer 100 Limited Edition.
Inspired by the Minerva rally timers and stop watches from the early 20th century, the TimeWalker Rally Timer 100 is a do it all timepiece, part stopwatch, part desk clock, and even easily convertible into a wristwatch.
Two little legs can release from the caseback to prop the TimeWalker Rally Timer 100 is up for use as a small desk clock. The Montblanc work of genius also has the ability to become a wristwatch thanks to a specially designed leather strap.
Powering the unique timepiece is the Montblanc caliber MB M16.29 movement that comes wit a column wheel, horizontal coupling, and a 50-hour power reserve.
The TimeWalker Rally Timer 100 Limited Edition measures in at 50mm and is housed in a brushed titanium case. Montblanc will only make only make 100 examples of the versatile timepiece with about just under a $40,500 asking price.
