South of Palm Beach, in the little beach town of Manalapan, Patron CEO Ed Brown’s $45 million new home sprawls across 30,000 square feet of beachfront property. Described by the listing company as ‘Balinese-inspired,’ the home combines an interconnected cabana-like layout and contemporary design elements, and contains nine bedrooms and sixteen baths.

With a great room that features double-height ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows, the home is well designed to take best advantage of its location. The abundant glass and space gives the interiors a palpable sense of fluidity. The effect is also striking in the open kitchen and casual dining room, which is nestled in a corner of the house, and features Atlantic views from both sides. Retractable glass doors open onto an outside deck about ten yards away from the ocean.

The house contains several bars—not surprising, really—and bottles of Patron are scattered here and there. Outside the master suite is the property’s fabricated, $1 million waterfall and freeform infinity pool. The master bath, and several of the home’s bedrooms, feature private balconies that overlook the beach and the tropical flora of the home’s landscaped grounds. Walls are washed generally in cool tones that evoke the setting, although a little warmth sneaks in here and there.

The house’s amenities include a large fitness center, spa, oceanfront cabana with outdoor kitchen and dining area, a total of 315 feet of ocean frontage, expansive deck and lounge area, dock and boat launch, and a guest house attached to the main residence by a second-floor pavilion.
