The 1925-built former Hollywood Hills home of Hollywood funny man Jason Segel situated within walking distance of the famed Chateau Marmont has been listed for $10.5 million.
Segel’s former property is actually comprised of two similar looking homes with white walls and gray crown molding. Between the two houses, there is a total of nine bedrooms and eight bathrooms.
Inside, there are dark hardwood floors with vintage-inspired built-ins that pair nicely with a flashy large iron light fixture. The main house comes with a cook’s delight in the form of a stunning kitchen that includes a white subway tile backsplash, a kitchen island with butcher-block counters, and modern stainless steel appliances.
An interesting note in the second home is a wood-paneled library that comes with a hidden space, which was most likely included for stashing liquor during the Prohibition era.
Outside there is plenty of space to entertain guests. Not only is there a large pool, a bocce court, and an outdoor fireplace, but there is also a decked out outdoor kitchen area with its own grill and fridge.
Segel purchased the property for $1.89 million and offloaded it for $6.9 million in the Spring of 2015. The current owner is set to make an equally nice return on the property should it achieve its asking price.
