Swiss watchmaker Richard Mille has revealed a new watch to honor skiing in the form of the RM 035 Ultimate Edition.

Richard Mille crafted the new piece to celebrate Alexis Pinturault, the brand’s partner and a 19-time Alpine World Cup winning skier, which recently surpassed skiing legend Jean-Claude Killy for the most Cup wins.

The classic tonneau-shaped case that is becoming a staple of the Swiss maker has been crafted from Carbon TPT and offers an almost against-the-grain aesthetic. The monochromatic design of silver and gray is broken up only by the red finish found on the top of the seconds hand, the minute markers, and the crown.

The skeletonized movement of the RM 035 is on display beautifully playing off the back dial that features the same grainy finish on the carbon fiber as the watch case. The movement boasts a 55-hour power reserve and is extremely shock proof with a free sprung balance with variable inertia, making it perfect for sporting use.

Richard Mille will pair the watch with a polyurethane sports strap that should be able to handle all conditions.

Pricing for the RM 035 Ultimate Edition has yet to be released, but it is known that the Swiss maison will only make 35 examples of the stunning timepiece.
