Animated film magnate and creator of the popular movie “Lilo & Stitch” and its television series with the same name recently dropped $2.8 million for a Queen Anne Victorian-style property in the city of La Cañada Flintridge, just outside Los Angeles.

Measuring in at almost 5,000 square feet, the home is situated down a long driveway and holds four bedrooms, three bathrooms, and two half baths. It features a state-of-the-art home automation setup that gives the owner control from anywhere in the world via a smartphone or tablet.

The 2000-built house features Victorian-era architectural feats such as leaded and stained-glass windows, a bead-board paneled office, mahogany pocket doors, inlaid hardwood floors, and detailed gingerbread fretwork.

The property comes with a private woods-surrounded backyard that holds a swimming pool, a wide veranda, and a detached four-car garage.

DeBlois is also responsible for the “How to Train Your Dragon” animated films that have made more than $1.1 billion worldwide. The two-time Academy Award-nominated movie maker also owns a modest home in Glendale, California, that he picked up for $475,000 in 1997 and a four-bedroom, log-cabin-style house in the Southern California mountain community of Big Bear Lake that he scooped up for $900,000 in 2011.
