Jeep has debuted many popular models over the years, but the original civilian production vehicle from the American company, the Jeep CJ, still has an aura about it that fans of the rugged vehicles yearn for.
To celebrate the upcoming 50th Annual Easter Jeep Safari, the 75-year-old automobile brand teamed up with Chrysler parts company Mopar to create a throwback concept model based off of a modern Jeep Wrangler dubbed the Shortcut.
Jeep shortened the Shortcut 26 inches from the Wrangler it is based off of and gave it a bevy of custom parts and pieces, including 17-inch red steel wheels, chrome bumpers, a new grille, and a modified exhaust specially created for the model.
Under the hood, Jeep gave the Shortcut a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine paired with a 5-speed automatic transmission.
Finishing it all off is a stunning cherry red finish that rolls into the interior and even to the seats.
Plenty of Jeep fans will surely hope the Shortcut won’t be a concept for long.
