A few weeks after selling an urbane Parisian pied-a-terre, Celine Dion has relisted her Jupiter Island retreat. Representing a gradual but dramatic price reduction, the property now has an asking price of $38.5 million. It has been on and off the market for about four years, and was initially listed at $72 million.

Valuation has been difficult to estimate, due to the singular nature of the nearly six acre property. Constructed in 2010, the lavish estate measures 18,800 square feet, and contains thirteen bedrooms and twenty full or partial baths. Designed as a family-oriented retreat, it features several swimming pools, a small waterpark, and considerable guest occupancy: an eight bedroom double guest house—and a beach cottage—is part of the estate. The property boasts 415 feet of private ocean frontage.

Other amenities include a pool house with kitchen, tennis house and court, massage and spa room, pavilions and indoor and outdoor entertainment areas, palm-studded lawns, firepit and poolside lounge, home theater, exercise room, and indoor simulated driving range. Bedrooms take full advantage of the beachfront location, with abundant glass looking out over the tropical landscape.

Overall, the design is that of a large beach house; shiplap, hardwood staircases, and a comfortable fluidity predominate. Living spaces meander with the landscape. The master-suite terrace is cozy and private, with an outdoor fireplace.

Celine Dion and her family have settled in Las Vegas, where the chanteuse enjoys an open-ended headlining contract at the Colosseum.
